Blue and white Victorian nursery plate
This 7 1/2 inch diameter, 19th c transferware plate is of Staffordshire origin, and in wonderful condition. The subject matter is quite dramatic - a rider who appears to be rounding up a herd of wild ponies in a mountainous countryside - quite unlike anything one would encounter in Britain - possibly a cossack.

Porcelain fox and foal
This Royal Doulton Mr. Fox is set for the chase in his top hat, scarlet coat, breeches and boots. A delightful piece from the 1950s, he measures 5 inches tall. The foal is from the Hutschenreuter porcelain works in Germany, and is truly an exquisite piece.
