Wonderful 19th c. painting of sheepdogs This small oil on board is charming, and in excellent condition - probably in its original frame. The watchful dogs may be related to the now-extinct Scottish Bobtail Sheepdog. They appear to be resting, but they are also keeping close track of their charges. With the frame, it measures 11 1/2 X 13 1/2 inches. Overall, a delightful 19th c. image. $1,350. Ref.: p453 |
